Quicksilver Chronicles
75 minutes, 2019
Kate, Kemp and Tommy, aging but vital, and sometimes downright explosive, live in an abandoned mining town in the middle of California. It’s a story about deep-space exploration, about hunting for Benitoite gems, and the hunt for inner demons too, and about hyperventilating at seeing Trump’s face on the TV screen. And it’s about death itself, and about absence; which really just means it’s about life, about living intensely while you still got some time left.

"California dreams are ripped at the seams in Ben Guez and Sasha Kulak's Quicksilver Chronicles, a winning portrait of two aging siblings' defiant, anachronistic eccentricity and the ghostly former company town where they reside."
