Ben Guez was born in Leningrad in 1983 and at the age of nine moved to Chicago with his family. He graduated with a History degree from the University of Arizona and spent the subsequent years living in South America. After directing a couple of short documentary films and collaborating for four years with Pedro Gonzalez Rubio on his film “Antigone”, Ben’s first feature documentary “Quicksilver Chronicles” (co-directed with Sasha Kulak) premiered at Visions du Réel in 2019. It has screened at many festivals worldwide, winning prizes along the way and appearing on broadcast. He is currently living in Barcelona while developing his second feature film in the framework of the Master in Creative Documentary of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
